It’s time.

03 May

It’s time to travel from the Pacific Ocean to Kentucky.

It’s time to trade a whaling ship for a country-side estate.

It’s time to leave harpooneers and follow runaway slaves.

It’s time to say good-bye to Melville and hello to Stowe.

It’s time to pick up a new novel.

Classic Case of Madness will be reading Uncle Tom’s Cabin
by Harriet Beecher Stowe.

Won’t you join us?

Do you have an estimated time you’ll be reading it for? I’m planning to finally hop aboard with you for this one, but I have a busy week or two ahead, so may be behind the rest of you.

We don’t have a schedule or even a “to-be-finished” date, Sarah. We’re a very relaxed group. My fellow bloggers and I check in periodically with each other to see how the reading is going. Sometimes one of us will finish way before the others. Then there have been times when we finish within days of each other. We’re always willing to talk about books, so join in! We’d love to have you read with us.

I’m joining in! : ) This week, after reading Adriana’s post on her website, I bought The WEM from Amazon and dug out my copy of Uncle Tom’s Cabin from college. I am so excited to start this journey with you all!

Excellent! We’re always happy to have people read along with us. So you’ve read UTC before?

Yes, I read it for a US History class back in college — but I went to my 25th reunion last fall, so it’s been awhile!! I loved UTC, and I’m happy to be re-reading it.

Thanks, Christine. I’m looking forward to discussions and the way you ladies have of lightening things up at times;)
