Not a Climbing Teller

mountebank – n.  a charlatan, or one who attempts to deceive others

Classical Usage: It’s no secret.  Raskolnikov isn’t so very fond of Pyotr Petrovich.  He’s got quite a list of names for him in Part Three Chapter I, including a racial slur (gulp)  . . . he’s a stool pigeon and a speculator; . . . he’s a Jew and a mountebank, and it shows . . . he’s a fool, a fool!

Classically Mad Usage:  I won’t be a mountebank, I already used this word once as a word of the day.  But I forgot it.  Maybe this Classic Word of the Day stuff isn’t working, maybe I’m being a mountebank to myself.  Is that possible?
