We’re back! Where are you?

07 Jan

ROTN Hebdomadal Check-in

We’re back from our blogging break, and we want to know how you did with Hardy over the holidays?  In what book and chapter can we find you?  Share you place in the comments.

PS.  Know anyone who made a resolution to read a classic novel in 2013?  Maybe they’d like to read The Portrait of a Lady with us!

I listened to the first two chapters yesterday with intentions to read them last night. Alas, I fell asleep. Today I’ll probably listen to a few more & then try to read the first two tonight to be sure I have the names all put together.

I hope you don’t mind my “listening & reading” technique. I just don’t feel like I can always keep up with both. Sometimes I read a section, sometimes I listen, and sometimes I do both. Ideally, I would do both. Ideally.

I am so excited to have my childhood, piano-lesson taking, & kindergarten classmate along – Liz.

Any combo of listening/reading is allowed and approved! We’ve done the same things ourselves.

I forgot to check in last time to say that I finished The Return of the Native and really liked it! Planning to go to our used bookstore this afternoon to buy Portrait.

Well done. Did you find a copy of POAL?

Hope you enjoy the start of POAL. I’m not sure what to expect from this one. I’m afraid to read anything about for fear of spoilers.

I too finished “Native” and went to Bargain Books and got the only copy of “Portrait” – but will be consumed with OSLS library this week but anxious to get started.

Hmmmm the only copy? Does that mean everyone holds on to theirs or that no one reads it?
